Proud Nebraska Heritage

Raised in Stanton County, Doug has been farming for the last 25 years near Pilger Nebraska. Other agriculture experiences include commercially hauling grain, working in a fertilizer plant, and working in dairy manufacturing. Doug was also recently appointed to serve on the grower advisory board for the Costco/Lincoln Premium Poultry project, where he advises Costco on Nebraska farming practices and advocates for Nebraska farmers.

The father of two grown children, Doug also serves on the Stanton County Planning Commission, the “Thunder by the River” Tractor Pull board, and as a Stanton County Public Power District Director, which is an elected position. Through Stanton County Public Power Doug has also been active in the Nebraska Rural Electric Association, receiving numerous leadership certificates. Additionally, Doug has served as a Nebraska Rural Electric Association Statewide Director and on the Nebraska Rural Electric Association Legislative Committee.

Doug is the assistant director for the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pullers, a member of the Wisner Lions Club, the Wisner Chamber of Commerce, and is a past member of the Wisner Parks and Recreation Board and the Stanton County Fair Board.

Doug is the proud grandfather to three grandchildren, enjoys truck pulling across the Midwest, attending drag races and circle track races, hunting, blue rock shooting, and riding his Harley.
